Practicum completed.
Assignments done.
And all the stress inside need to be kicked out.
And my sister came down from Bangi to visit me.
So, Perlis here we come!
OK that was the furthest distance I drove, so far.
So we chose the route
Jitra --> Beseri --> Padang Besar --> Kangar --> Kuala Perlis --> Arau --> Jitra
Perlis is only a small state that you can finish tawaf-ing it in only half day!
And the roadtrip was really worth-going!
We decided to start with Padang Besar, the northern-est part of peninsula.
And we stopped for a while at MRSM Beseri on the way to Padang Besar.
OK don't you ever asked me why I was extremely excited to reach there.
Then we continued our journey to Padang Besar Duty Free Zone.
The weather was terribly dry and hot there. So tropical.
The shopping places was too awesome yet too many people there.
Infinite choices of tudungs, tops, kitchenware (all made in T_ _ _ _ _ _ D)
It's good to be here if you have much $$$$.
Never mind, we did window-shopping!
And my sister kindly bought me a shawl and a checkered top. Thank you aja dong!
OK let's move on.
Luckily we didn't bring our passport.
If not we might drive through immigration and go to Hadyai!
OK actually we just stopped randomly by roadside
And had a photo shoot session at that signboard. Ngee~
And we stopped again at a random ostrich farm, on our way to Kangar.
And we stopped again without any motive.
And we stopped again, at Timah-Tasoh Dam.
The scenery was really beautiful
Even the surrounding temperature almost boiled up our head.
And finally we reached Kangar.
Performing Asr prayer at Alwi Mosque.
And again, randomly stopped by the roadside.
Just because the alphabets of "Kangar Perlis" are colourful!
We did tawaf the small town of Kangar.
OK, all of us start to hungry.
So we headed to Kuala Perlis.
For food-hunting session!
And we shared a bowl of Laksa Kuala.
The taste was....perfect!
And the don't-miss-it menu in Kuala Perlis
Presenting...grilled siakap with air asam.
Perghhhhh.....
And not forgetting heavenly ABC with ice cream on top for dessert
Followed by strawberries dipped into chocolate.
Alhamdulillah, everything was just scrumptious.
And after that we had a photo shoot session, with the background of muddy coast.
If we had RM1000, we might jump into ferry on the spot and go to Langkawi.
Next time insyaAllah.
It's time to go back.
On the way back to Jitra, we stopped at Arau's Palace.
Finally reached Jitra just before Maghrib.
Really enjoyed ourselves during the trip.
And will discover another place after this, insyaAllah.
So far, I do love northern part of Malaysia.
For 'food-hunting' reason.
